Hong Kong made Ubuntu Netbook for USD$319.9
Today, I kicked around Golden Computer Center, one of the most famous local computer shopping center. I didn't expect any thing special. Suddenly, this Atom-based netbook, priced at HK$2,480. (about US$319.9), just came out from nowhere. That's amazing!
If you come to Hong Kong, this is where you'd be finding it:
Shop 64-65 & 59, 1/F., Golden Computer Center, 94A Yen Chow Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon.

The model is called "CyberBook N10". It has a 10" monitor. Its keyboard size is almost the same as EeePC. The design of its touchpad is quite interesting. Its touchpad merged seamlessly to the case that you cannot actually see the touchpad, but you can use it at the position you'd expect a touchpad. The pre-loaded OS is Ubuntu Netbook Remix.
One notable thing is its 3G support. It has a built-in 3G antenna. If you want to install a 3G module, they can sell and install it at HK$980. (about US$126.4).
Another notable thing is the appearance. They have a full set of colour that you might choose from.
I asked the shopkeeper. He told me that the store actually manufactures the netbook themselves. I also asked for a leaflet of the netbook. He gave it to me. The price on the leaflet is slightly cheaper (OMG) than they are offering now. I assume the "promotion period", as described on the leaflet, has passed.
